James is a multi-instrumentalist, known for his work as a composer, sound engineer, and music producer. Over the years, he has worked with a diverse range of internationally acclaimed artists, such as RY X, Sandrayati, Bonobo, and Jordan Rakei. His extensive involvement in the music spans numerous creative and technical roles, including studio and live sound engineering, as well as composing for film and TV.

Notably, James as a member of the collective Unknown Horrors has co-composed the music for the award-winning director Dean Puckett's new feature film 'The Severed Sun'. Additionally, James is a long term member of indie pop band ‘Hearing Aid Beige’ James’s nostalgic and expressive guitar playing can be heard across various records by the band. He is set to unveil his debut solo record in 2025 under the alias ‘Cape Khoboi’.
