I find immense joy in the art of shaping an artist's musical vision, carefully capturing and shaping captivating sonic landscapes that have the power to transport listeners into entirely new realms.
When it comes to working on music projects, I adopt a holistic approach that delves deep into the core of each composition. By focusing on the essence of a song or track, I aim to unravel its full potential, allowing it to shine in its most authentic form. This process of understanding and enhancing the soul of the music is at the heart of my practice, guiding every step of my creative endeavours.
Crafting music is not just a profession for me; it is a passionate devotion to bringing out the best in every piece of art that comes my way. By honouring the uniqueness of each musical creation and nurturing it with care, I strive to contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving tapestry of sound.

alongside Benjamin Hudson (Brain Rays) & Tommy Micheal Williams James is part of "Unknown Horrors”
As a trio they have created soundtracks for Dean Puckett’s Straight8 winner; Satan’s Bite which premiered at Cannes, as well as Puckett’s award-nominated documentary; Honey at the Top and his BFi-supported short films; The Sermon (Vimeo Staff Pick/Palm Springs) and Circles (ALTER).
They have also worked with Lotje Sodderland (My Beautiful Broken Brain) on her film, The Institute of Isolation, with science fiction artist, Lucy McRae, and have soundtracked commercial films for a diverse range of clients including Vogue, Lexus, Google, Kerrang, Nokia, Intel and Unicef.

Over the past ten years, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with a diverse array of esteemed clients alongside fellow composers Benjamin Hudson and Tommy Williams. Some of our clients have included Adidas, The New York MET Museum, Nike, Go Sport, Oxfam, PwC, the BBC, Channel 4, National Theatre, Tommy Tippee, Nokia, Time Magazine, Google, YouTube, and Air Asia.
